A major national ISP and customer of PerfTech’s in-browser messaging system used the platform this summer to alert students that their current discount on high-speed Internet service was coming to a close. While the discount program was expiring, the students were offered another option to continue service by enrolling in the federal Emergency Broadband Benefit program. The message included an informational link to the EBB, in addition to buttons to acknowledge or remind me later. The primary call to action was a phone number to the ISP to get enrolled into the EBB program. The campaign was implemented over four weeks, with deliveries spaced one week apart from mid-June to mid-July. While the PerfTech system cannot log the number of students who called in directly to the ISP, more than a third of the message recipients made positive responses through action buttons. Importantly, students who wished to continue uninterrupted service were given the opportunity to do so.
