QUICK STATS: JUMP-START A MODEM SWAP CAMPAIGN WITH PERFTECH

It’s one of those moments when broadband subscribers are most prone to procrastination:  modem-swap time.  Even though the promise of faster speeds and smoother reception looms large, it usually takes multiple and persistent communications from ISPs to precipitate action.  It’s no surprise that this has become one of the most popular use cases for PerfTech’s in-browser messaging.  We looked at two recent and ongoing modem-swap campaigns to gage response and progress:

Profile 1:  Top-Tier MSO

Time period of stats:  February 2017 through April 2017  (3 months)

Result summary: 49.0% took action to swap modems during first 3 months

A top-tier MSO customer sends modem-swap notices in separate rounds lasting 10 days each, with a few days between rounds.  Read more...

MEET US AT THE ANGA CONFERENCE IN COLOGNE, MAY 30-JUNE 1

PerfTech will co-exhibit with OpenVault, a leading vendor of network analytics, at this show:

            EVENT:            ANGA Conference, Booth 7/C77

WHERE:           Cologne, Germany at the Koelnmesse Center

            WHEN:             May 30—June 1

The two technology vendors have integrated their products in the networks of five U.S.-based Internet service providers to date, and enjoy a synergistic relationship that resolves the “all-you-can-eat” revenue dilemma.

OpenVault provides network data analytics, while PerfTech provides in-browser messaging to keep subscribers informed regarding their broadband accounts.  More specifically, OpenVault supplies data usage information to the PerfTech platform that in turns notifies subscribers when they approach or exceed data limits, and presents action options.  The process is automated for the ISP, and lets the subscriber self-manage to “right-size” their data plan.

Contact Jane Christ, PerfTech Sales SVP, at 210-893-4022 to set up a time to meet, or drop by Booth 7/C77.

WHILE ENCRYPTED INTERNET TRAFFIC RISES, PERFTECH’S DELIVERY RATES REMAIN 96-98%

The Issue

By January 30, 2017, “the average volume of encrypted Internet data finally surpassed the average volume of unencrypted traffic, according to Mozilla.”1  Considering that the use of encryption by Internet web sites is trending up, prospective customers ask how PerfTech continues to achieve delivery rates approaching 100%.  Understanding that PerfTech’s in-browser messaging technology delivers only upon unencrypted web requests, it would seem that the likelihood of successful message delivery would be proportionally restricted to the lowering volume of unencrypted traffic.

However, an analysis each year for the past 3 years of time-stamped message deliveries by PerfTech's messaging platform at the same, major customer ISP shows a minimal drop of .6% from 2014 to 2015, and 1.2% from 2015 to 2016, in delivery rates over the first 20 hours from message launch.  Read more...
